Järnmalmer was commissioned by Züblin Scandinavia to dismantle a crane on Marieholmsgatan in Göteborg together with the crane firm, Havator. This assignment was part of the preparations for the construction of a new tunnel under Götaälv river. The sunken tunnel will be 500 metres long and be used to relieve traffic from the existing and heavily used Tingstad tunnel. In early 2017 Järnmalmer took care of around 250 tons of pipe for the project. A total of around 10,000 tons of reinforcement and around 13,000 tons of steel in temporary constructions will be used to complete the tunnel, which will cost around SEK 1.5 billion. Züblin Scandinavia expects to complete construction by 2020.
