As of 1 February 2019, Järnmalmer will add to its portfolio one of the industry’s leading players, Stefan Roos, who has extensive knowledge of purchasing, logistics and sales of scrapped steel. He worked as product manager at Stena Metal International, responsible for selling scrapped steel. He was also a driving force in developing the scrap organization at Hans Andersson Recycling. His last position was at Holje Trading where he was CEO and worked to optimize sales from its own yard, but also had a strong focus on the trading business.
“I have always worked on long-term relationships and one of the strengths I have is the material knowledge of scrap metal, and also the possibility of optimizing this for both scrap distributors and the steel industry,” says Stefan. “The right material for the right place. Both buyers and sellers win that way. A gift to a buyer is an alloy surcharge for another. Through knowledge and a long-term perspective, you can piece things together, something I look forward to doing together with Järnmalmer,” he concludes.
